Lots of young women are not having kids, and having them later. I have two girls, one has two kids and the other none.
My older daughter and her husband though, are on a mission to raise a president of the United States, or an artist like Miles Davis, or president of Harvard.
I love them dearly and they are grade A parents, but they are helicopter parents with every moment of the kids lives planned out and it drives me crazy-lol. My visits only last a couple of days every other month.
My other daughter is my hippie daughter and she has a step son and that is enough for her. But she is laid back and comes over once a week and we get stoned chill out and watch music or cat videos-lol.
That is more my style.
And yes, I also worry the big producers are the uneducated.

After having children (and children are basically hostages which the world takes from you, to make you care) I am super glad my kids do not have kids. I hope they never have kids. Things might turn out ok, but then again they might not. And quite frankly, although I love my kids, I think I would have been a lot less anxious without them. I never really conceived that the worry about them WOULD NEVER FUCKING STOP. And it doesn't matter when they do well, you still worry. And when they're adults, you worry and you have no control. I'm grateful my kids are healthy, employed and educated. But I know so many people with major adult kid problems. I would never, ever, ever have kids if I had it to do over. And the state of the world makes me even more sure about this.
