I wonder what the Europeans are paying. $8 per gallon? I'm not sure what the best approach is, or what the Fed is really trying to do now with the huge mess they created over the years. The best approach is to diffuse the bomb over time, if possible. I think it includes lower dollar against Asian currencies, hopefully not much lower dollar. US does not peg the dollar to anything. I sure don't like their market manipulation/moral hazard and mopping after bubbles strategy.
