Cary,is it that you don't believe the government can actually do this responsibly,or is it that you don't think a balanced budget would help drive down long term interest rates, thereby increasing the value of equities?I believe a well done balanced budget would make a huge difference, however I am equally certain it will never happen, and not be altered.I was a registered lobbyist from 1991-1996.This experience drained me of any hope that the government can do anything to help, except by accident.Good men can be elected, but they end up twisted and rationalizing their positions. There appears to be a human problem that causes the worst in a politician to manifest itself, once he is in a position of power.Something needs to be done about our debt,I just know it can't be done properly.
