A) That is *not* true with respect to the example that I gave (expansion of Medicaid eligibility in this new law) because MEDICAID is not sold by 'companies' it is a government (State/Federal) program.

B) And, with respect to the 'corporate welfare' we started this discussion out on --- that given to the PRIVATE INSURANCE companies --- you are CLEARLY 'subsidizing' (in large part) these for-profit private companies with these payments, because they extract their profit margins from that cash flow. Remember: for every $1.30 of taxpayer money that is handed over to these private for-profit corporations to induce them to sell Medicare Advantage insurance plans... only $1.00 makes it out to the end-customers as policies, the rest gets absorbed in 'costs' and profit margins at these companies.
