Dear Abdul,
In a popular U.S. movie starring Tom Cruise a few yrs ago, a famous line was "show me the money". So, I say to you show me the proof that Israel targets civilians. Innocents may be & often are the victims once hostilities begin, but Israel does not strap bombs around their childrens' bodies & tell them they will go straight to heaven if they kill themselves & try to take as many innocent people with them as they possibly can. That practice is barbaric & doubly horrific when done in the name of religion. There is nothing religious or valiant about teaching youth to not only end their own lives but take as many other lives with them. You cannot expect decent, civilized people to understand, let alone respect, such an inhuman ungodly act.
No, Abdul, it's not that Americans judgement is clouded because of its relationship with Israel. In fact, the Israeli people have been attacked since day one. The Palestinians have not even tried to live peacefully with them. Why do Palestinians expect every foot of ground they claim is theres BEFORE they will negotiate. Look to No. Ireland, the native Irish of that country could very well have made such an uncompromising demand on Gr. Britain before talks began......but they are more reasonable, and value peace for the people of that land above all other considerations. What the Palestinians truly need is a new leader. There's no future in peace for Arafat.....his spotlight only stays bright as long as the struggle continues. |
