If the Haliburtons and Enrons continue to get no bid contracts

No bid contracts are not unusual in a situation like this. They where also given in the Balkans during the Clinton administration. Halliburton was apparently the only American company that was ready to fulfill the contract quickly so it would have been the only bid and there was no need to delay work for the bidding process. No bid contracts are not the ideal way to do things but they are not a strong sign of corruption.

and get paid for services not rendered

I can't really answer that charge without specifics. I can think of some ways such payment would e justified but I don't know if they apply in this situation. I haven't heard this accusation before.

If consenting adults are harassed and their relationships are legislated against

Again some specifics would be nice.

if we allow torture to be part of our defense system

Torture is certainly an odious practice. OTOH there are cases where it might be justified in extreme cases, for example if we had captured a member of a terrorist group that had a nuke, or a seriously deadly bio-weapon and we were trying to keep an American city from suffering an attack. I generally would not support torture but there are a lot of gray areas. Not only the extreme example above but also levels of coercion that might not be considered torture.

And if we ignore all the civilian (not to mention our own military) casualties that we are inflicting

We aren't ignoring civilian casualties, but rather making great efforts to avoid them. The casualties to civilians and to our soldiers are both very low compared to most wars.

If you don't get my drift by now, I suppose our discussion will not get very far.

There is a difference between getting your drift and agreeing with it.
