My Dell 8100 running WinMe got hit hard by a virus of some kind. It disabled NAV, my sound card, portions of my video card, parts of control panel, and some other stuff. After messing with it, I concluded that I must run winME setup again.

Setup goes fine until, in the file copying stage, an error message comes up stating: SUWIN. An error has occurred in your application. If you choose to Ignore, you should save your work in a new file. If you choose to close, your application will terminate."

Pushing Close, the next screen reads: SUWIN caused a General Protection Fault in module VERX.DLL at 0002:24AE.

Any help in deciphering this would be appreciated.
