This is an interesting development. I had been surprised that Methanex was not in on the act with Ballard. The former has been having problems of its own with the market for methanol having been very soft for the past few years.

Would any one care to comment on whether the fact that methanol has significant water content which tends to corrode fuel tanks might or might not be a hindrance to methanol's eventual adoption as the base fuel for fuel cell engines.
