One of the problems in America today is short term thinking and the problems it portends for business and investing decisions. The "real" story concerning Iomega is the huge lead it has to become the new hard drive of choice. Just as Microsoft uses the "law on increasing return" to rewrite manufacturing history, Iomega has taken a page from the Gates book, observe: (Iomega has) 1. excellent technology (people love, demand iomg) 2. ability to hit market right("its your stuff") 3. strategic pricing?(rebate anyone?) 4. willingness to sacrifice current profits for future advantage (rebate= syquest coffin nail) take heart iomegans we have seen the future and it says "ZIP". rocksta@concentric .net rocky haag
