‘Idea of the day thread’ today is 5 years old; I take this opportunity to thank all those who read this thread and post on it.

As a host I always emphasized that any thread credibility can only be judged after at least 5 years of existence, the continuity and survival for this long a time in cyber space where people get bored after few posts and find little time to engage in frivolous activities is something that is commendable.

I take satisfaction that during the course of its entire existence and a difficult one too; we have managed to reflect on our strengths and weaknesses with equal zest and style. I hope this modest effort will continue as a small little bridge to bring people of the world together, we stitch events and we stitch gaping wounds to create an understanding that may make our beautiful world a better place for our future generations.
