Brushwud,
Stock repurchases on balance are a positive for shareholders - see my previous post - subject to a few exceptions, notable the case that the purchase comes at the expense of future growth. In IDTI's case, the expected future growth of the company is questionable. They have a line of nice products a number of which could make dramatic market inroads; however, will management continue to issue shares dilutively to pay for future R&D costs and very expensive production startup costs to the point that shareholders reap meagre rewards? I believe that if recent R&D and production startup costs pay off big, a substantial repurchase is certainly in order.
