"but the spectacular frauds perpetrated on Wall Street was by more than 50 of New York's biggest investment banks during the collapse of the hi-tech boom, ..."

I've been saying this for years. You wanna talk conspiracy? What Wall Street did to Joe Investor, that was a conspiracy. Suckering him into buying worthless stocks with falsified accounting and lots of pumping by the so called gurus. Anyone remember these Gurus telling us that Nortel was a must-buy when it dropped to $50 US. These same Gurus were then telling us that Nortel was overpriced as it dropped to .25 cents, all the while they were shorting it.

As trillions of dollars in savings and pensions were lost forever, no one was held accountable for the fleecing of investors. Ironically, someone steals a loaf of bread to feed a hungry family and ends up behind bars. Wall Street swindlers walk away with our savings and they get invited to the Whitehouse.
