The thing is India's Deputy Prime Minister (who really wields all the power since the Prime Minister is senile) is a bully, but Cheney is a bigger bully (who really wields all the power since Bush is a clown and a PINO -- President in name only). And you know that bullies never stand up to bigger bullies.

But since the current Indian government is led by a right-wing party that has a record of being brutal on India's Muslim minority population, you can be sure that if India does send troops to Iraq, it will be not for peace-keeping, but for target practice (for the Iraqi guerrillas).

So whether India goes there under UN command or under US command, it doesn't matter as far as the mess in Iraq is concerned. It might matter only as far as the survival of India's coalition government is concerned, but nothing more.
