looks weird to me, but, from motorola's site is the following (i know it's a different model mentioned, but, yours is newer,SB5100, so it should work):

i've never seen both USB and ethernet connectors used at the same time on a cable modem. good luck and post how it works out. i'm curious if you can make it work :)
