Remarkable, Just when we get Rod MacP to blow away,
Rockhead comes back full bore with his constant dribble.
Was at CompUSA today and bought a Zip disk 3 pack from
Maxell (an Iomega co-brander) for $32.97 and a $6 rebate
(from Maxell) that puts a zip disk cost at $9 each
without buying a gig-o-pack of 10. One more step towards
Zip standardization is a disk price that doesn't matter
much (probably $2 - 5 each). That will really drive
sales of Zip drives and disks. Another minor point.
Ditto Max may be a sleeper product we are not paying
much attention to, but I have noticed these are being
featured and sold quite a bit and now I see Verbatim is
co-branding the Ditto Max 7 Gigabyte cartridges. Must
be some volume expected for them to get into this.
Any comments about Ditto Max sales? Talk about really
cheap storage.
