Genesis Merchant Group initiated coverage of AFFYMETRIX with a long-term buy recommendation based on the commercial availability of its GeneChip technology, a fast, powerful, automated generator of genetic information according to biotechnology analyst A. Paul Boni. "Affymetrix has already entered into early relationships with ten companies representing a variety of GeneChip applications," says Boni.
