Charlie, on February 5, 39 trading days ago, I set possible buy targets for thirteen tech stocks that I might have been interested in buying if they reached those target prices by July. It was the kind of paper exercise I often do to try to try to stay aware of what is going on. As you may recall, I posted the numbers here ... these are the results through today ... The companies that I am really interested in owning (though not yet) are four companies from the Boston area that I am pretty familiar with - Analog Devices, EMC, Sycamore Networks and Teradyne - and Sun Microsystems. First, I would buy SUNW, EMC and SCMR. I would buy about 1/5 of a full position five different times - hopefully averaging-up. I never have believed in averaging down - I like to go with the established trend. What do you think? Anyone else care to comment?
