Hi Gottfried:

On a different subject. I saw on NBR that AMAT is planning to acquire NVLS, etc., etc., I also heard a news that Varian is also a possible suiter. This scenerio is not new to NVLS. IMO AMAT acquiring NVLS is ruled out. Currently the major bread winner for AMAT is PVD/CVD business which combinedly contribute close to 60- 65% of business. To me AMAT acquiring NVLS is not politically a good move for AMAT (This will bring in a lot of heartburn with people within AMAT). Varian acquiring NVLS is something I dont have much insight. But again a company which has a lingering law suit is not a good candidate for takeover.

If anybody has better insight please let us know.

Regards

Kumar.
