Honestly,

In my 66.5 years... I recall a lot of ups-and-downs. Personal, local, national, global.

Progress against many diseases, the moon landing, and the general warmth and hope on the streets of Oakland the day Obama was elected -- among the best memories.

In 2019 -- I have never felt that things were THIS broken. We all know the bullet points (literally and metaphorically.)

I'm fully energized for battle - AND soulfully worried.

That sums up the year for me.
