The idea of protest if one disagrees with government policy was flat out considered unpatriotic before we took to the streets criticizing Viet Nam. What stand is your generation taking on social and political issues? And how are they making themselves heard? [other that complaining on the internet that is]The generation prior to mine gave no thought what so ever to any environment concern.. Today we have much to do with regards to the environment but thing are being done. Dismantle the Dams? Absolutely un thought of prior to the boomers being in power. Stop clear cutting old growth? Why who ever heard of such a thing? Prior to us who gave a damn about the rainforest? Too far away to care. The seeds have been laid for your generation to follow . Will they? I have seen no indication that they will. If wrong show me please.If you were a woman or black and old enough to remember the fifties you might not be so critical. These changes did not come so easy. They were fought for. Something as of now you know nothing about.Now what has your generation accomplished to date that would justify your self righteous? I for one am proud of the accomplishments of my generation.I can only hope [for all our sake] you can say the same when you reach my age.
