Nvidia wants 16X transistors every 2 years.

One issue on the horizon is the relentless demand for more AI capabilities. While the traditional pace in the chip industry has been to double the number of transistors on a chip every two years — this is Moore’s Law — Nvidia wants to move even faster.

“They would like the number of transistors to go up by a factor of 16 every two years,” Fouquet says. “So you're going completely off Moore's Law.”
