Its a keynisan problem that will be fixed by keynsian means. The govt can fix credit markets (maybe) but it cant get consumers back in the game. Thats all about employement and if the govt has to pay for infrastructure repair, so be it. If the govt has to put money in the hands of the low tax paying (all pay fica and medicare which is a 14% flat tax on all earners) so be it as well. Supply side intact and ready to go. There is a buyers strike underway.
