Indeed. Very low recoveries (sub 70%) have been reported for most oxides silver that is being leached. Although there are only a few oxydes silver deposit in the world, Coeur d'Alene Rochester, where the grade and recoveries are much lower than those suggested at Alamo Dorado, certainly confirm what you say.

Still, can I suggest that the nature of the ore at BAY's Alamo Dorado makes it different. Do you know about the high cerargyrite content at this deposit? Compared to Rochester which is recovering less than 65%, Alamo Dorado will recover 75%-80%+ in its high grade sections, thanks to the differnt blend of minerals.

Also the very high grade of the open pit (Value of $20+ per ton) will compensate for the sub 80% recovery rates.
