UAE to increase oil output to 3.2m bpd

ABU DHABI — The country which has a current production of 2.5 million barrel per day (BPD) is working on different projects to upgrade infrastructure to increase its oil output to 3.2.million barrel per day, by the end of next year, a report said.

The UAE's current Opec production quota, effective March 16, 2005, is 2.40 million bpd, and its current crude oil production as of April 2005 is 2.50 million bpd.

The UAE's total production capacity is 2.50 million bpd
, so it does not have any spare capacity at the current level of production.
