Thanks for the link. It was the most interesting tech article I've read recently. Ya after reading the article I wouldn't be afraid to buy a fluid bearing drive. As a matter of fact I'd seek it out above others. Nothing's a sure bet but I'm reletivly confident it wouldn't turn out to be a Vega aluminum motor or a GE rotary compressor refrigerator:)) I guess GM was just to soon on the aluminum motor. Lots of cars have them now and work just fine. I don't think anybody has a rotary compressor in their refrigerators these days though. It's too bad the companies mentioned in the article as working with Seagate on this aren't small publicly traded companies so that something like this could make a meaningful difference to their bottom line. I guess the two Japanese companies mentioned might be publicly traded but their too big for something like this too make much of a difference to their profits.
