TSMC receives rush orders, utilization to rise

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has recently received rush orders for low-power and entry-level CPUs and chips from Altera, MediaTek, Nvidia, OmniVision and Qualcomm, today's Chinese-language Commercial Times cited market watchers as reporting.

Contribution from the rush orders is expected to help the foundry service provider's capacity utilization rate grow to 50% in March, up from 35-40% this month, according to the paper.
