Carl - we'll see. Like I said, check out the following web page
trga.com
It is nothing special, but the IR director basically does an update on the company once a week. I am going to be honest with you, since he did start to do this like 3 weeks ago, it has helped the stock price by disseminating information other than via press releases, etc.
I should disclaim here - I own a few thousand shares of TRGA. I am not recommending it as an investment to anyone - very speculative, but then again, so is GIFS. I only bring it up because their company is small and has experienced lots of delays, resulting in disgruntled shareholders that overwhelmed the IR director (Sounds familiar doesn't it??). Ever since they started the weekly updates on the drilling process on the web page, there are a lot less disgruntled shareholders. Shareholders understand delays, as long as they are explained. If you look at the release, you will see it is nothing special - something the IR director probably threw together in like an hour or so. However, it has helped the company's IR big time and like I said, the web page probably resulted in the price going up a little bit as current and future shareholders feel secure about a management disclosing its current state of affairs.
Just my opinion as I wait for the girlfriend to get out of work. I am very fond of this idea -- I would be willing to gather the questions and forward them to management each week. Of course, right now, management has much more and serious concerns.
I thought last week with the Street level Story would be the most gut wrenching day with this stock. As we say in Michigan, if you don't like the weather, wait an hour. With GIFS, the stock's direction changes drastically, weekly, sometimes by the hour. Needless to say, today's news topped last week.
I agree with Jaime - why release good news today. If I were the company and had nothing to hide, I would acknowledge the suit, propose a counter suit, and basically sit tight and close the CRIC deal. Book value, projected income, etc. etc. etc. etc. mean nothing for this stock anymore. the only thing that matters is EPS and Cash flow per share. Personally, if our CEO is a convicted felon, it surprises me it took so someone so long to discover that fact. I have a hard time believing this one. I'll believe it when I see it as fact.
