Puma Technology Introduces Intellisync Version 3.1
Software for Palm Computing Platform Products

Enhanced Features Include Lotus Notes E-Mail Synchronization and New Application Support

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 24, 1998-- Puma Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:PUMA - news), today
announced version 3.1 of its Intellisync synchronization software for Palm Computing® platform products. The new version
greatly enhances this award-winning solution by extending its support for the popular Lotus Notes group application to include
e-mail. Version 3.1 adds support for two leading sales force automation applications, SalesLogix and Oracle Mobile Sales and
Marketing. Both application vendors have utilized the Intellisync Software Development Kit (SDK) to build upon the Intellisync
synchronization platform.

This latest Intellisync offering will immediately be available directly from Puma's website at www.pumatech.com and at
computer retail stores nationwide for $69.95. Owners of previous versions of Intellisync for PalmPilot(tm) Connected
Organizers may upgrade to the new version for $34.95.

''Puma has made a significant commitment to both corporate customers and ISVs by enabling them to fully extend their
application standards to handheld devices with the Intellisync synchronization platform,'' said Puma President and CEO Brad
Rowe. ''By adding enhanced support for a leading groupware application provider such as Lotus Notes, we are further
allowing corporations to take advantage of the rich feature set that Intellisync uniquely offers. The new version 3.1
demonstrates the importance of the Intellisync platform to companies looking to provide handheld synchronization solutions for
their customers. SalesLogix and Oracle are among a long list of applications and device vendors who have built on the
Intellisync platform to cost effectively meet their customers' needs. We are happy to incorporate the application support these
vendors provided using our Intellisync SDK into the latest version of our software.''

Extending Lotus Notes Support With E-mail Synchronization

In addition to its e-mail support for Microsoft Outlook 97/98 and Exchange, Intellisync now adds support for importing,
exporting and synchronizing e-mail messages between Palm III(tm) and PalmPilot Professional Edition devices and Lotus
Notes 4.5/4.6 applications. All major e-mail components of the PalmPilot will be supported including inbox, outbox, filed and
draft folders. Intellisync offers robust Lotus Notes support, bringing its complete range of advanced address, datebook, to-do,
and journal synchronization capabilities, like full conflict resolution and filtering, to users of Lotus Notes 4.5/4.6. Puma has been
recognized for developing the optimal synchronization solution for Lotus Notes, having received the prestigious Editor's Choice
Silver Award from Lotus Notes & Domino Advisor.

SalesLogix and Oracle Sales and Marketing Add Sync Support

Version 3.1 now includes synchronization support for SalesLogix and Oracle Mobile Sales and Marketing. These licensees of
the Intellisync SDK have turned to Puma to develop their own extensions to the Intellisync platform, which are included with
the new version of Intellisync. Version 3.1 of Intellisync for PalmPilot can be utilized with the SalesLogix 3.0 sales force
automation system to synchronize with the address book, datebook and to do list. Additionally, Oracle Mobile Sales and
Marketing users will now be able to synchronize the address book and to do list with their Palm Computing platform products.

The rising industry adoption of Puma's Intellisync platform has lead Puma to hold its first annual Worldwide Developers
Conference on November 30, 1998 at the Westin Santa Clara Hotel in Santa Clara, California. The conference is targeted to
ISVs, device vendors, and application developers who are looking to take advantage of the Intellisync synchronization platform
and Puma's Satellite Forms(tm) rapid application development tool to deliver true mobility for their products and services. For

Intellisync's Enhanced Feature Set

In addition to Lotus Notes e-mail support and support for SDK translators, version 3.1 of Intellisync will now offer multi-user
support, allowing several users of the PalmPilot Connected Organizers to synchronize their information from a single PC. The
new version of Intellisync will continue to provide a powerful synchronization solution enabling consumers to keep their most
important information, including calendars, contacts, notes, to-do's, and e-mail, constantly up-to-date between Palm
Computing platform products and the broadest range of PC applications. Optimized for use with Microsoft Outlook 97/98,
version 3.1 builds on Puma Technology's patented Data Synchronization Extensions Technology (DSX Technology (tm)),
