| In searching SI for an unrelated topic, I stumbled accross this post by the original founder of the thread, Dr. Truman Bradley:
"To all: This is my last post to the Brinker topics. It has been a
good game. I have enjoyed the repartee' more than I can describe
in words, even my words. However, as a Book of wisdom has it,
"To every thing there is a season; a time to live and a time to die."

For me, the latter time has come, at least, in a metaphorical
sense; it is time for me to step off this stage. I have attempt-
ed, in my own way, to maintain this thread as a sanctuary for
free speech, especially- informed, intelligent, and civil speech.
As I witnessed other threads devolve into cesspools of vitriol,
I vowed that such a hideous fate should not befall this topic if
I could help it. This thread has, periodically, come close to the
precipice of chaos, but forces of reason and good fellowship
have always come to the fore and re-balanced the wheel.

To all my friends here, I bid an especially fond adieu. To all
those who have supped with me at the table of ideas, it has been
a fine feast of the mind. However, I must perforce leave you now.
Other muses beckon; other pursuits call to me.

My wish is that this thread shall continue to host some of the
finest minds of the Silicon Investor universe and maintain its
trappings as a broadly constructed tent under which fertile ideas
and the constructive, civil interchange of important ideas might
 flourish all hallow.

Should Mr. Brinker ever read these words, let me at once thank
you for many hours of listening and reading enjoyment and for
providing the raison d'etre for this topic. If I have helped, even
in a small way, to spread the word of your genius into cyberspace,
I am gratified. In your time, you have ferried countless thousands
to the land of critical mass and hastened the progress of even more
thousands closer to that land. For them and many others, you have
shown the clear pathway through the tangled wilderness of finance
with the crystalline lamp of knowledge, experience, insight, and
common sense. You have swayed still others from omnipresent
shark-infested waters. For these contributions to society, you
are justly praised. Thank you, Mr. Brinker, and thank you all.

 God bless you everyone.

 Dr. Truman Bradley
