I've never read anywhere anyone hoping for deaths of American soldiers, by someone opposed to Bush. Maybe you can point to some post to that effect.

The unfortunate and hopefully irrelevant fact is that the only side who gains from terrorism and deaths is the Bush administration. Without terrorism they have little or nothing to run on. If all terrorism stopped they'd likely lose in '04. If a terror event occurs, say in October, the Bush poll numbers automatically rise. This puts Bush in the position of working towards peace against his own self-interest since the most profit comes from continuing war, bloodshed and terror. I'm sure they'll do the right thing.

The only other group that gains would be if any of the group of insiders are still be running some version of the Death Pool announced recently by the DOD, and which has been disavowed after both Dems and Repubs made an issue of it.
