Some great info the last several days. Several of the things that I have been thinking about FTEL What is the westlake facility all about? High Tech!!. Why would GTE run lots of fiber to them? Why would FNET need 100 mil to deploy the voice server? Has the 1996 telcom act. added to franks vision, remember he wants to stay 1 year ahead of the competition. If he really is, don't some of the players know this?
All of those questions have an answer, I don't know them. Have been reading alot about telcom and the reform act. I didn't realize that long distance could be done cheaper over the internet with increased bandwidth. Franklin may have the answer to this. It is possible westlake village will be the prototype for franks grand vision with sites all over the country. just like meaby not as big (WITH FIBER) as the current facility. Now if that is part of deploying the voice server the 100mil will be used up quickly!!, but the rev. will also be comming in as fast with current products. Now the telcom act of 1996, will Frank be one of the qualifying telcoms for access to local markets? only time will tel.
This dream is becoming a reality I think we are observing the birth of a new type of baby bell. Baby Bell FTEL!!! I like the sound of that.
Thanks for listening Neil W
