I don't buy this. Disciplined, well trained, and well administered troops from a decent culture should be able to rise above the "evils of war." I don't think he made the case that this is inevitable. Perhaps in a longer, slower "note" could he make his case.

Or perhaps it's the inner humanist in me speaking... <g>
