Lets take a look at the NASDAQ versus the VIX back in 2002. Then we will look at it now:



We are beginning to see some positive developments. For instance many of the up days are coming on higher volume. The Vix is lower than it was at the November bottom. But we have yet to see a higher volume 90% upside day. Where is the broad based rally that will signal the end to this bear market? It has yet to happen but with volume decreasing on down days and rising on up ones one has to believe it is closer now than it was.

Lets take a look at a one year NASDAQ Chart versus the VIX:



Too early to call a bottom but I see some encouraging signs here it is coming!
