slacker, I'm sure Nokia expected a lot features in future phones but maybe they also knew that WCDMA would take some time. Most "cameras, MP3 players, color screens and advanced processors" came during the GPRS era. Now that, in the new licensing period, pretty much all feature phones will be WCDMA it must be much more important. Why should QCOM get 5% on a Carl Zeiss lens or a 5 megapixel camera? Shooting dvd quality movies and photos that most often will not be uploaded using WCDMA. I can't remember the upload speed of WCDMA but we quickly get a lot of data here.
I doubt WCDMA will be an enabler of these features.
