Windows Secrets (Brian Livingston on XP SP2)

TC,

<< Thanks for letting us know your experience and glad it didn't hose your whole system. I had to uninstall SP2 the first time I tried it. The second time I "upgraded" everything went fine. >>

I was afraid the uninstall might hose it. There have been some war stories about that, but it went flawlessly for me both times. The worst part of my problem was that I had no connectivity. When I 1st installed cable I kept dial back-up with my former ISP, for about a year. Its a helpless feeling to not be able to access the internet when there is a problem. No access to resources like this one, no way to get MS Bulletins, updated drivers, etc.

Have you seen this from Brian Livingston who has been a great Microsoft OS and apps resource for me over the last dozen years, as has Woody Leonhard, and Ed Bott:

windowssecrets.com

I do advise Windows users to subscribe this free resource.

Best,

- Eric -
