Carl- Thanks for your informative response. I'm glad to know that M2 is intended to support the full Ppro instruction set. I intend to replace my museum-piece 486 later this year, and had been leaning toward the K6 in part because of my question about Cyrix's support of the full instruction set. The information you provided suggests that should be less of a concern. OS/2 and games compatibility would be secondary issues with me, but Linux and NT compatibility are paramount. Regards, Larry
