A thirty-year veteran of the information technology arena, Alan Blaustein leveraged his diverse experience and founded Maxnet Communication Systems, a one-man company whose mission would be to provide large companies with a manufacturer-independent networking guidance approach.
Today, Maxnet is a $20 million company with more than 60 employees committed to meet the changing service demands of next-generation networks.ÿ Maxnet provides advanced network engineering and support services for Fortune 1000 companies, state and local government agencies, major healthcare organizations and financial institutions.
Mr. Blaustein's career provided him with a broad range of responsibilities including engineering, marketing and sales for leading-edge technology companies such as Motorola, ITT Courier Systems and Periphonics, a division of Exxon Enterprises. Throughout his career, he was integrally involved in the development of communication systems that are essential to business customers and financial institutions including: Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) for banking; Optical Character Recognition (OCR) scanners for electronic-document storage; Negative-File Credit Card Authorization systems for retail purchases and Audio Response Systems for telephone access to financial data.
The entrepreneurial spirit in Alan Blaustein recently garnered him the State of Florida Entrepreneurial Success of the Year honor awarded by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Blaustein is committed to the local community especially in the area of youth related education programs. He recently implemented an advanced learning network for Hillel Community Day School in North Miami Beach, Florida. Through a contribution of products, service and personal time, teachers and students now have access to an advanced computer laboratory, internet access, electronic mail and computer-learning in every classroom. |
