Attention Business Editors:

Voice Mobility Opens Dallas Sales Office

Puts The Company In Reach Of Customers In Central U.S.

VANCOUVER, April 11 /CNW/ - Voice Mobility International, Inc. (OTCBB:
VMII and FWB: VMY), the developer of the Unified Communications(TM) software
suite, today announced the opening of a sales office in Dallas, Texas. The new
office will serve US-based customers in the Central and Mountain time zones.
"By establishing this office, we gain access to approximately 200 service
providers in Texas alone," says Voice Mobility's Chief Executive Officer Jay
Hutton. "Almost 10 percent of our primary US market is based in Texas." The
new office is located in Addison, Texas, part of Dallas's 'Metroplex' high
tech corridor that also houses some of the world's leading telecommunications
carriers and service providers.
Voice Mobility's Unified Communications software suite puts control of
personal communications firmly in the hands of users by bringing together
office, home, cell phone, fax, pager and other numbers into a single phone
number, and by combining multiple voice-mail boxes into one mailbox where
people can retrieve both their voice messages and their faxes.
"Although we sell our Unified Communications solution to carriers and
service providers around the world, the United States is a significant market
for our sales team," says Fabian Stern, VP, North American Sales. "We already
have offices in New York and Boston, so Dallas seemed like the next, most
logical move."
Industry analysts are anticipating explosive growth for products such as
Voice Mobility's Unified Communications solution. IDC predicts the total
number of U.S. subscribers for unified communications will reach 28.4 million
by 2004, generating $5.7 billion in revenue for service providers.
Voice Mobility will be participating in the ASCENT (Association of
Communications Enterprises) Spring Conference and Exhibition at the Adam's
Mark Hotel in Dallas between May 21 and 24, 2001. The Company will be
exhibiting in booth 1402.

About Voice Mobility
--------------------
Voice Mobility International, Inc. is the developer of the Unified
Communications software suite. The suite features a "Find-me Follow-me"
application that makes it possible for all voice, pager and fax calls to reach
a user through a single number. The suite also simplifies voice, fax and email
messages by collecting them in a single mailbox. The system converts these
voice and fax messages to sound or image files that can be retrieved using any
email program or web service. This means that they can be listened to, viewed,
stored, redirected and managed using a personal computer, wireless device or
telephone. Voice Mobility markets its software suite to telephone companies,
competitive local exchange carriers, application service providers, Internet
service providers and wireless service providers. Further information about
