Hi John,

This subject was touched on briefly on another thread I WAS reading for awhile (if you'd like its location just PM me and I'll tell you via that format). There wasn't much discussion except to conclude that someday there might be very good reason to maintain a home garden. But my position was and still is, that unless it is a significant size, I can't imagine it will provide for the needs of a party or parties year after year.

Now one method of providing another source of food is through sprouting. Of course, it helps if one likes them in the first place, but there are also a variety of recipes for sprouts as the idea of sprouting has matured. Wheat sprout crackers is a personal favorite of mine, although it is a recipe belonging to a friend living in CA. I don't have it, but if one can find it or one like it, I beleive it is worth trying.

How big is your garden at present?
