AMZN buy of 46% of Drugstore.com concurrent with debut is great news!
And Larry, it's not just toothpaste and deodorant that Americas First Online Drugstore DEMP (check it out) is selling as Cramer sez...
it's also prescriptions that can either be initiated by Doctor mailing in the scrip or calling the doctor from docs phone number supplied by the customer - ONLINE. Wonder why J. Cramer (WRROOOONGG)didn't think to mention that teeny factoid, hmmmm; - such an absent minded professor to not notice deodorant and toothpaste are running low before they're gone, LOL. drugemporium.com has been up and running for over a month with very little publicity. It's got revenue from stores, just bought a small chain of drugstores, licensed in 49 states and doing business already, some history behind it, and best of all it's on Nasdaq not otc so I bought me some. Happily Holding some AMZN too. Need I mention AMZN's action is more thrilling than DEMPs at the moment but never been one to put all the eggs in one basket. Got high hopes for the Online Medicals in the near future...so also got MCNS (Mediconsult right here on Go2net) and MRK (Merck/Medco). Very happy about AMZN's buy-in to Drugstore.com (privately held BTW). Hoping it'll be an AMZN acquisition following a short-time run on the otc or an IPO or just a flat-out buy (little ms. selfish lists 'em in order of preference)- in any case an AMZN acquisition of it looks like a possible next logical move. Do hope no one minds me mentioning other stocks on AMZN thread as I share my strategy of circling the start-up of Internet Pharmacies; while celebrating AMZN buy in of Drugstore.com
(which, remember, is privately held). Doubleplusgood.
Good luck to all,
Joana
