Jeffrey, regarding insider buying: Notice that (a) the amount of shares purchased is not that great, (b) that the dates of purchase closely coincide with each other and (c)that this small amount reflects the individuals only position in Syquest, i.e., 2000 shares purchased by Robert Fisch on August 8, 1997 represents his only position. Secondly, notice that one director, Richard Kramlich on April 1997 was allowed to purchase $5,000,000 shares of Syquest for $1. Mr. Kramlich no doubt was given this option in return for his helping Syquest with debt financing. If you were Mr. Kramlich, what would you do at this point in time seeing that you've now realized a 500% return on your investment, i.e., is $5,000,000 investment is now worth $25,000,000? I know what I'd be at least thinking about doing - selling. I don't know, this scenario of insider buying doesn't look that healthy to me.
