OK, so where do we go from here? Does it just take another year
for an ITU standard for k56k or do COMS/ROK/LU get together and
informally agree upon a defacto standard or do they just all
continue to go their own way? It is in my interest by the way,
to have no standard. My 33.6 Sportster was upgraded to 56k with
a ROM chip. An upgrade (if offered by 3COM/USR) will probably not
be free and could take a while. Meanwhile, it coasts nicely at a
present x2 speed of 50.666.
