Yet? That implies that you feel, also, the threat of the influence of huge amounts of drug revenues on the world.

Their pull spreads far beyond Colombia. Combining drug revenues and kidnapping revenues, the thugs have taken over the majority of Columbia. The only thing that might keep them from spreading more, might be a desire not to jeopardize their current holdings.

An interesting point. Flip a coin, in some of these South American countries, to tell who is worse, the government or the thugs.

Among the worst thugs are those in North Korea. They are building missiles that can target the US. Why? The only reason, to me, is that they want to invade South Korea as a means to improve their economy, etc., and they want to be able to threaten the US in order to limit our retaliation.
