Just heard on the farm report that the econuts are keeping the locks open on the Missouri River this summer. That will lower the water and expose sand bars so some sort of tern can nest on the sand bars. What's really nuts is they have been successfully nesting on the banks for at least 60 years with the locks closed. Hell, I've seen them nest on my neighbor's gravel drive way.

What's really bad about this is the water will be too low to operate barges on the river. Millions of tons of fertilizer and grain are transported on the river each year. Not this year. Then there's the people with huge investments in barge loading stations.
