I haven't a clue what is not clear. You buy when there are no earnings, and the doom is thick, and when the analysts scream sell. You sell at the exact opposite point.

It wouldn't be so hard to understand you if you wrote complete sentences and weren't so cryptic! Reading your past posts, it is not so obvious that you buy stocks only when there are no earnings, doom is thick, analysts screaming sell, etc. But you do seem to have a problem when stocks go down and blame it all on analysts, ALGO, Jackasses and clowns running the MarkIt! On the contrary, you should be happy because they are the ones who are creating more opportunities for you to invest in!!

So in essence, I'll begin to seriously accumulate now or shortly as earnings continue to go negative, and I'll seriously begin to sell later when profits are forecast to be rising into the clouds years out and the analysts see no problems ever on the horizon again.

Well, it is easier said than done but it is a good strategy and if it works for you, I am happy for you. But, why criticize others who do the exact opposite and ride the stock on its way down? There are many roads to success, just as there are many roads to failure!

Maybe you will be the buyer 200% higher when it is 'safe'????

My buying or not buying a stock is based on my own valuation of the company relative to where it trades. I have no problem getting in 200% higher if I see further potential and is reasonably valued to its growth prospects! I don't have any preconceived notions that I should not invest in a company just because it has gone up 200%! It all depends on where things are and where they are headed.

As for LRCX, it closed at $21.10 and based on my work, I believe it has at least another 20-25% of further downside risk! Just because analysts are saying sell and earnings turned negative doesn't mean the stock has bottomed and even if it has, it is dead money for a while! If you knew to whom LRCX was selling its products last few years and how is the health of these customers, you wouldn't even be arguing about this. It will be a while before you will see LRCX achieve their peak quarterly revs and earnings of 2007!
