Don -

There is an apparent contradiction here. You say that the fact that Steve Jobs hasn't trumpeted any minor improvement in market share means that it hasn't happened. (This of course being based on your not-necessarily-valid assumption that he would make an announcement like "We've gone from 2.4% to 2.8% market share!" How stupid would that sound?)

So the lack of an announcement by Apple is proof there is no market share improvement, even a small one. But you won't believe that they have reached 5% until someone other than Apple says it.

What kind of thinking is that?
