What a great read that was. Such a speech. I'm sorry I missed it on television, as he's very stirring speaker.

I was struck by this para that you'd highlighted:
The problem people have with the US - not the rabid anti-Americans but the average middle ground - is not that, for example, they oppose them on WMD or International terrorism. People listen to the US on these issues and may well agree with them; but they want the US to listen back

I see that as a message to the US, don't you? And one to which I hope we listen.

I also thought his discussion of Muslim fundamentalism was well-done. It's a tough topic, I'd think particulerly for the Brits, who themselves have a growing Muslim population.
