I mailed mine last night, emphasizing the need for alternatives to phone lines be encouraged, not subsidizing of a near monopolistic access route. Satellite and microwave cos. are the beneficiary of this approach. The FCC screwed up in the interpretation of the Communications Act of 1996 when they failed to address wide-band allocations last fall, & put it off till now. They are now trying to back pedel/scurry to fill the void that their mis-judgement caused --
the increase in use of the internet over Xmas. I stated this all on the CAMP thread months ago.
Yes, send in your response. I feel we do have a say in what is going to happen. The Clinton Admin. is very favorable to access to the Internet, The NASDAQ is very actively trying to level the playing field re: small investors & the internet does just that. The FCC just needs to get in line with the rest of them.
