t2 - I remember Compaq too. I bot it just after record earnings, about 4 - 5 years ago and had to sell it taking a loss. It has'nt done anything since so it was a good sell. I actually learned on that trade to play stocks for a earnings run and sell on the day earnings are released usually afterhours since good earnings are already factored into the stock price. I hardly ever hold through earnings, once in a while a stock will continue up after earnings but not often enough. JH
