Why would ROYL sell ?

The principals in ROYL are not old, late 40's , very early 50's and everything is going great for them.
They also seem to get along well with each other.

(When I look at energy companies in Texas, the partners often seem to have a fight or break up every 7-10
years. I believe their economic & psychological needs change. The people will re-partner, and then be successful with different partners. Part of this is the economic cycle in the industry, but part of it is human nature)

ROYL is kind of all alone in San Diego, so they need to stick together.
San Diego is a very nice place to live - It ain't Midland
("I've always wanted to live in Midland, Texas" -quote attributed to Barbara Bush when Geogre ask her to move to Texas)

I can't see them selling unless-

> some of the original investors on the board need to get out
(it's a public stock, and some what liquid, so I don't see an issue here)

> Some company wants to make them a REALLY GREAT offer
some one assuming -

1) CA NG would be over $ 6.00 for the next 7 years (until pipelines are in)
and short term over $10.00 (to generate a fast payout)

2) Someone who could go drill more at Victor Ranch to maybe 2x-4x production in the next year.
Victor Ranch success rate is over 70% and rising.

If you multiply 1) and 2) together in the valuation process, you can get some really big numbers.

Looks like Alex Montano wrote the article -
He maybe be looking to get business, or maybe he's trying to get another offer for ROYL.
